Have fun learning

Headline

Our team are committed to making music tuition in Woolooware fun! Some teachers have early childhood music training .

This will mean that your child's music education will be targeted to their age and development. Classes take place in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere --even in your home.

Students are encouraged to be creative, to express themselves and have fun with music. They are supported and challenged, and will learn that more dedication equals more fun.

Practice is the time when the body learns to do what the teacher taught in the lesson.

The length of time to practice varies from 10 - 15 minutes per day for children under 8 years to 30 minutes if the student is sitting for a Grade 4 AMEB exam.

Young children need to be encouraged to practice and be praised for their efforts by their parents. Placing piano or violin practice before a reward such as watching TV is a good way to encourage a child. It is best to select a set time for practice and do it at that time 4-5 times a week as it establishes a routine for the child. In the morning when the child is not tired is a good time to practice. Music practice teaches a child the life time skill of discipline !!

If you are an adult beginner please feel welcome. Our attitude is that you are never too old to learn a musical instrument. You will bring many skills from your own life that will help you with your musical instrument. We appreciate how hard it is for working adults to find time to practise -- but we will encourage and motivate you.

Gain in confidence

Playing a musical instrument stimulates the development of the brain and improves mental function. Research has shown playing music increases the size of the corpus callosum (linking the two hemispheres of the brain). Spatial - temporal abilities used for sequencing information, analysis and reasoning and mathematical skills are all improved by playing a musical instrument.

Learning music builds a student’s confidence and self-esteem by enabling them to grow and experience small successes along the way. Music encourages self-expression and creativity. Learning music brings joy into your life to stay. Singing or playing an instrument can also have some significant social pay-offs.
